Previous winners have found that winning an award can have a positive impact on their career and often leads to internal recognition:

Mark Grimley, Croydon Council – 2007 Integrated Payroll and HR Team of the Year
“The award was publicised in our in-house magazine and local press and the team was congratulated by the Chief Executive. Wining the award gave the team a new level of confidence and sense that it had all been worth it.”

Dr Martin Blake, Royal Mail Group – 2007 Payroll Giving Award
“There was a lot of internal coverage of our win. We’ve got internal television screens that are in each and every depo and building so there was coverage there and in our newspaper, which is called Courier, and it was announced at meetings from the chief executive down. It was very well received.”

Nick Mernock, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service – 2007 Award for Absence Management
“We were particularly proud that the work we thought was innovative was recognised in such a way by professionals in that field…The absence policy was not a popular document in some areas and its achievements had been criticised, but this external recognition was another level of support of the work completed and confirmation of its organisational merits.”

Brian Gibson, Ceridian – 2007 Payroll Bureau/Outsourcing Employee of the Year
“Winning the award has really raised my profile within the company and with that opened up new opportunities. Since the ceremony I have been promoted and also moved to work in the training department on a six month secondment.”

So don’t delay, enter the Pay Awards today.
