Named in honour of Jean Strathearn, this category recognises a payroller who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry. This may be through their commitment to the wider industry and its development or as a result of work done on an employer payroll.

This award will be judged by the Pay Magazine team.

2007 winner: Phil Nilson, HMRC

The judges said Phil won the award for the work he has done to promote dialogue between all the stakeholders in payroll and to communicate HMRC policies and procedures to the industry .
